Getting There:

Shin-Ōkubo Station 新大久保駅 (JR Yamanote Line) and Okubo Station (JR Chuo Line).

 

The area became popular with Korean students and laborers in the ’80s, and has been slowly shaped to cater to Korean tastes; many people come here to eat at one of the Korean barbecue restaurants that line the backstreets. These days Shin-Okubo can feel more like party central than a modest residential zone.
