River of Life - This is a lovely viewpoint from the River of Life.
Tourists are welcome to visit the inside of the mosque and wander in its surrounding gardens outside prayer times. As of Aug 2022 it is open 10-12:30 then 14:30-16 everyday apart from Friday.
Dress Code
Visitors should proceed to the mosque’s visitor information desk. Non-Muslim women may be provided with a robe and scarf to wear during their visit to the mosque. Men should wear long trousers. Non-Muslim men in shorts may also be given a robe to wear.
Shoes may not be worn and have to be left in the racks provided or on the floor outside the entrance.
Masjid Jamek opened its doors in 1909, making it one of the oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur. Built in a Moorish style with iconic white domes, the mosque sits at the confluence of the Sungei Klang and Sungei Gombak rivers. The bazaar outside is also well worth a visit.

Central Railway Offices & North Goods Yard (National Textile Museum)
Century-old Federated Malay States Central Railways Offices. The building in Mughal-Islamic architectural style, completed in 1905, was designed by the English architect and soldier Arthur Benison Hubback.

Kafe Old Market Square a beautiful example of architecture of the Malaysian pre-war kopitiam, with its high ceilings and swinging wooden windows.

Pasar (Old Market Square 旧市场)
The Medan Pasar is what used to be the old market square until it was moved to the nearby central market. Nowadays, the square still preserves vestiges of the old market by the concentration of banks surrounding the square. The square is okay for historical reasons and the middle of the square has the Old Market Square Clock Tower landmark of the city.
Cross Jalan Binteng> Turn Right onto Jalan Hang Kasturi (Beside Central Market)> Cross and walk along Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock> MRT Pasar Seni Station (SBK16).
