 The main hall of Baolun Temple (宝轮寺) was built during the Chenghua period成化of the Ming Dynasty 明朝 (1465-1487) and is the oldest existing wooden structure in the central urban area of ​​Chongqing. The temple is majestic and spectacular, with lush ancient trees and solemn red walls. It was originally named Longyin Temple 龙隐寺. It is said that it was the place where Emperor Jianwen 建文帝of the Ming Dynasty became a monk to avoid being hunted down by the imperial court.

宝轮寺大殿兴建于明朝成化年间（1465—1487年），是重庆中心城区现存年代最早的木结构建筑。寺庙巍峨壮观、古树苍翠，红色墙壁庄严大气,原名龙隐寺，相传为明建文帝为躲避朝廷搜捕出家之所。
