The Grand Theater was built in 2009. The surface of the building is made of light green plexiglass. The entire Grand Theater looks like a "glass time-space ship", implying sailing from the past to the future. From the theater square, you can see the scenery of the south bank of the Jialing River, including the Raffles InterContinental Hotel, Qiansimen Bridge, Hongyadong at night, and the World Financial Center. It is also one of the viewing platforms in Chongqing.
大剧院是2009年建成,建筑表面选用浅绿色的有机玻璃，整个大剧院外形酷似“玻璃时空船”，寓意从过去驶向未来。剧院广场上，嘉陵江南岸风光尽收眼底，来福士洲际酒店、千厮门大桥、夜晚的洪崖洞、环球金融中心等历历在目，也是重庆观景平台之一。
