Luohan Temple was first built during the Zhiping period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1064-1067) and was originally named Zhiping Temple. The Sutra Library in the temple houses the Tripitaka, Sanskrit and Tibetan classics, as well as ancient books, calligraphy and paintings, most of which are treasures from the Tang and Ming dynasties.
