Built in the early 20th century (around 1938), the building
is a combination of French Gothic Neoclassical architecture and traditional
Chinese architecture. The walls are constructed using bricks and blue bricks
from the original Ming Dynasty city wall of Shaocheng, and the roof is Chinese
in style. However, the building body, the long arched windows, the second-floor
open-air balcony supported by Roman columns, and the six-pointed star symbols
on the window frames all exhibit typical Western style.
该楼建于20世纪初（约1938年左右），属于法式歌特式新古典建筑与中国传统建筑的结合体。墙体采用本地原拆少城明代城墙砖和青砖，屋顶为中式，但楼身、长拱形窗户、罗马圆柱支撑的二楼露天阳台以及窗棂上的六角星标志均呈现典型的西式风格 。
