Nanqiao Bridge, known as the "Painted Pavilion on the
Water," boasts intricately carved beams and painted rafters, adorned with
exquisite wood carvings, paintings, and calligraphy. The roof features colorful
sculptures depicting folk tales such as "Hai Rui Dismissed from
Office" and "The Flood of Jinshan Temple," showcasing the unique
characteristics of western Sichuan. The existing bridge is 54 meters long and
12 meters wide, a five-arched covered bridge with triple-eaved, upturned eaves
covered in glazed tiles. Walking across it offers shelter from the wind and
rain while providing stunning river views. The bridge connects to a food street
and the ancient city of Guanxian, with numerous local snack shops, specialty
stores, and creative cultural shops, making it a lively spot for a late-night
snack after strolling across the bridge.
