Metro Line 1 (towards Shisanhaojie) and exit at Liming
Square Station (Exit B) / transfer to Bus 237 → Get off at "Dongta
Station" (4 stops) and walk for about 1 minute. 地铁1号线(往十三号街方向)黎明广场站B口出/换乘237路 → “东塔站”下车(4站)，步行约1分钟.
The temple enshrines Vairocana Buddha, focusing on
dispelling misfortune, attracting blessings, and spreading the light of wisdom.
It is the foremost of the "Four Pagodas" established in the early
Qing Dynasty; construction began in 1643 (the eighth year of the Chongde reign)
and was completed in 1645 (the second year of the Shunzhi reign). A temple was
built at the base of each pagoda, with the pagoda and temple constructed
simultaneously. The original temple associated with the East Pagoda was
destroyed during the Republican era and has since been rebuilt; the site now
offers vegetarian noodles, cultural and creative products, and opportunities
for sutra copying—with the creative merchandise being particularly
well-crafted.
寺庙供奉大日如来主打消灾纳福、慧灯普照, 清初四塔之首1643年(崇德八年)动工，1645年(顺治二年)竣工，每塔的下面都建寺庙一座，塔和寺庙同时建成，东塔原寺毁于民国，现在是重建的，还有素面、文创、抄经，寺庙里文创做的很不错了..
